Christmas Offerings
The Christmas offerings this year will be for Launchpad. Now nearing its 40th year, Launchpad distributes small grants to people who are often long-term unemployed and finding it difficult to find enough money to pay for what is needed to take up a hobby. We might be asked for items like painting materials, or fishing equipment. Others who apply have battled with alcohol or drugs , and recently many of them have undertaken the excellent 15 week residential course offered by Crossreach. It is important at that point in their recovery to be able to access support for items which might help them return to work, such as a laptop, or appropriate clothing. Grants are limited to £300, and are always given in kind, not cash. We are the only charity offering such support in the Highlands.
